“From broke to millionaire consultant”

I am “on my grind.” Just like it says on the license plate of my new Bentley! So, why did I create this conference? (learn what a Cash Cow Consultant is) Because when I first became a consultant, I witnessed how speakers and other so called gurus were charging people to attend boot-camps and conferences, but not providing any real secrets on how to be a wealthy consultant and speaker.

For years I watched these “get rich gurus” manipulating people into purchasing overpriced coaching, or becoming certified to teach their content, and making you believe, “just focus on your passion”, or “the money will come”, or “just help people and you’ll become a wealthy consultant, speaker, author, coach, or entrepreneur!” They even take pictures with famous people to give them more credibility…(shaking my head).

I saw and heard all of this fluff when I was going broke as a speaker chasing event after event trying to pay my bills and wondering why nobody would book me, since I could speak and motivate better than almost any other speaker on the circuit. After I made a quarter million dollars from the trunk of my car, I damn near lost it all trying to become a consultant and keynote speaker.

Yep, I bought into the “just speak your passion” myth like so many others, maybe you did too, and I was still broke! I even considered going back to my comfort zone and selling clothes from the trunk of my car again…LOL…. But I had too much pride to go back.

Then something remarkable happened. I made the critical transition to the next level and went from “speaker” to “consultant” and as a result, my income increased exponentially (ridiculously). And now I am competing for the same clients as Harvard University, Zenger/Folkman, and Mckinsey consultants. I went from getting paid $3,500 for a speaking event to more than $100,000 for a change management executive program with just ONE client. Then, I accelerated my grind and reached level two, which was duplicating myself. I built a small team of subject matter experts and began winning federal contracts, which I call “slow money, but for sure money”..LOL. Responding to big money government solicitations are tedious and time consuming, which is why the “average” speaker and consultant does not even submit a proposal (they’re too busy speaking or training). So I created a system to have a complete government request for proposal in less than 60 minutes (that’s only one of my strategies).

Finally, I reached the ultimate level which is how to SCALE my entire methodology and content with a data driven training management system that companies like QuikTrip, Texas Instruments and even the U.S. Army are considering. But guess what, I am just like YOU, a subject matter expert, passionate speaker, hustler and grinder! The only thing that separates wealthy consultants from the “just making a living” consultants is strategy! It does not matter how good you speak, how great your content is, how many testimonials you have, how many times you upgrade your website, how many pictures you take with Les Brown and Tony Robbins, you will be a “paycheck to paycheck” or even worse a “minimum wage consultant,” until you learn how to execute the strategy and marketing secrets of seven figure Cash Cow consultants.

Now don’t get me wrong, speaking with passion and helping people is a blessing, I love helping people, but that’s only a small part of the equation of making six to seven figures! And as I became a Cash Cow Consultant, I was able to donate thousands of dollars to causes I cared about, and launch a black youth entrepreneur academy in Dallas; indeed making more money gave me options to help and bless more people.

There are so many self-proclaimed gurus out there offering courses, workshops, and personal coaching on how to become rich as a consultant or speaker. Yet, they are not millionaire consultants or keynote speakers. More than likely they are only making an “average living” teaching best practices they copied from actual celebrity speakers and consultants.

I’ve got raw speaking talent, and I am sure you’ve got raw talent, but talent as a consultant and speaker will only take you so far. There are levels to this business! For example, many consultants believe they are in the consulting business, but Cash Cow Consultants know that we are not in the consulting business, but the business of marketing consulting services. And we know how to build a system of cash flow and place it on auto pilot.

You see, I know what you’ve been going through, because I’ve been there. And, I know how it feels to have what it takes to be a seven-figure consultant, but for some reason it just has not happened!
